I am not the only Gargoyles fan excited for Gargoyles #1 as the issue has sold over 179,000 copies. Not that I am counting, but that was 138 days ago. I have been thinking about this comic every single day since it was announced at SDCC on July 22nd, 2022. *STOP READING HERE IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ALL SPOILERS* But their bonds will be tested, when nefarious factions from all across the world attempt to steal that rarest, most precious of possessions…an unhatched Gargoyle egg! Bronx looks just like the recent Gargoyles Ultimate release from NECA. Bronx stars on the cover of Gargoyles #5. The other Dynamite Comics Gargoyles variant cover that I am collecting are the action figure covers by Brent Schoonover and Alberto Silver. I also opted for the black and white and metal premium editions. This is my favorite cover of this comic series so far. The flashlight shine effect is really well done. It is great to see Elisa Maza features on the cover, and let’s be honest she looks absolutely gorgeous here. Meanwhile, Dino Dracon’s plans proceed apace…ĭavid Nakayama’s cover for this issue features Elisa Maza and a chained Goliath who was captured last issue.
